🙂 You notice the divide and conquer tactics today?

The media didn’t seem to concentrate on the reported ‘unprovoked police charges’, more on RBS’s windows

Oh well, still it seems the majority of coverage suggests an extreamly peaceful protest, which is great, I just hope someone was listening.

Oh and I hope SpartatheCat enjoyed her cake.

I never understood the fact that protesters have to trash stuff. I agree with Mike. It gives it a bad feel from someone who is a small business person. I think that sitting in the street is fine. But stop breaking stuff!

When Gandhi was a young lawyer in South Africa, he led a nonviolent campaign addressing the racism targeting the Indian community there. When tensions rose at one of the meetings and people’s frustrations led to people suggesting the use of violence against the police and other institutions in South Africa, Gandhi firmed stated:

“I am asking you to fight, to fight their anger, not to provoke it.”

Let us not forget what the Chinese did to spin the nonviolent protests in Tibet.

    Chinese army dress as monks.

GCHQ analysts believe the decision was deliberately calculated by the Beijing leadership to provide an excuse to stamp out the simmering unrest in the region.
